The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat.
The words "spa" and "guy" don't seem to gel. But I can assure you, the pursuit of wellness is not the prerogative of women alone.

A few months back, I was attending a spa retreat on a media invite. As usual, I was the odd one out. During lunch, a European lady threw a question at me: "Do you know how many types of spa treatments are there?" Sensing it to be a test of wit, I replied: "Sure. There are just two types - either with or without oil." She was flabbergasted. "What? You call yourself an expert... blah...blah...blah..."

A burly Australian, the resort's newly-arrived head chef overheard the conversation and chipped in: "You know what I think? There are really just two types of spas - with or without sex."

Okay, that was a joke but it did happen. I have often been asked or tested with questions like:
Which is the best spa resort in Asia? Where are the best spa therapists? Do spa treatments really work?
Besides Bali or Phuket, are there other places to explore?

I don't have all the answers. But I do have experiences to share. It is my fervent hope that this blog will help answer some of your questions and also help to guide you on your next wellness adventure.
